Day Trips

Materuni Waterfall and Kili Rainforest
Drive from Moshi to Materunil Village and after a short stop at the village office to register, go straight to the Waterfall. Enjoy a walk through the Bananas and Coffee and the beautiful scenery. We'll have our picnic lunch at the Waterfall and some time hiking up and down the nearby slopes before driving back to Moshi.

Trip time 3-5 hours

Marangu Waterfall
Drive from Moshi to Marangu village where we'll start our day trip with a visit to a local blacksmith. Watch him making iron products like cow bells, spears, etc. After this we'll head to the Chagga Caves where, for years the people concealed themselves from foreign invaders.

Drive to the Waterfall where we'll enjoy a picnic lunch and then it's on to the Chagga Museum where you'll see their traditional lifestyle, tools, weapons and learn about the tribe's facinating history. After that it's back to Moshi.

Arusha National Park
We'll drive from Moshi to the Momella Gate of Arusha National Park. This National Park, often overlooked, is in fact a treasure, a rich tapestry of habitats, teeming with animals and birds. From the lush swamps of the Ngurdoto Crater to the tranquil beauty of the Momela Lakes and the rocky alpine heights of Mount Meru, the terrain of the park is as varied as it is interesting.

The setting for Arusha National Park is magical: Zebras graze on the park's red grasslands, and leopards lurk next to waterfalls in the shadowy forest. More than 400 species of bird, both migrant and resident can be found in Arusha National Park alongside rare primates such as the black-and-white colobus monkey.

This is a "not to be missed" daytrip and one we're sure you will enjoy.
